Participate in Our All Year Long R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Contest

1 winner each month from Elementary, Middle, and High school will get a chance
to win the overall prize: A JOSTENS Class Ring.

Respect Every Student and Parent/guardian and Everyone in my Community and/or Town


Contest Directions   Choose only 1 of the following 3 options for your submission

  1. WRITERS – Write an essay explaining your definition of respect. Include in your essay
    what you think Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (or a responsible adult you know) would say about your definition of respect.
  2. POETS – In a poem, poetically describe your definition of respect. Include in your poem
    what you think Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (or a responsible adult you know) would say about your definition of respect.
  3. ARTISTS – Draw or sketch your definition of respect (Be creative!). Include in your
    drawing or sketch how you think Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (or a responsible adult you know) would respond to your definition of respect.

Contest Rules

  1. ENTRIES Must address the topic of RESPECT.
  2. Essays must be at least 1 page in length. (printed or typed)
  3. Artwork should be on a poster. (standard size – 22×28)
  4. PRINT your first and last name, present grade, name of your school, and parent/guardian cell phone number or contact information on the front of your poster, poem, or artwork.
  5. Entries must be post marked the 15th of each month and mailed to: Manners First Education Foundation, Attn: Scholarship and Award Committee; P.O. Box 871; Bear, DE; 19701.
  6. First place selected winners will receive a Jostens Ring and/or jewelry.
    Other winners will receive Gift Cards, Movie Tickets, and/or other incentives. Winners will be notified each month
  7. All Students in grades 1st through 12th are eligible to participate in this contest
